She made her television debut at the age of nine months, when she appeared as Michelle Tanner in Full House in which she starred alongside Mary Kate Olsen. The 1990s saw them starred together in several films and later established their own fashion label. Their younger sister Elizabeth Olsen starred in the 2011 film Martha Marcy May Marlene and the 2014 blockbuster Godzilla. When she was nine-months old when she was nine months old, her sister Mary Kate Olsen hired her to take on the role in the role of Michelle Tanner for the television series Full House. She was in two episodes on Showtime's Weeds alongside Mary Louise Parker. The roles she played included Judy Kramer as a Fox 2005 program Point Pleasant, and Marcy as a character in Dawson's Creek. Her three-year stint playing Marina Cooper, in Guiding Light's soap opera earned her nominations for the Soap Opera Digest Awards 2003 in the Outstanding Newcomer category. Dollar appeared in the ABC soap opera Women's Murder Club as Cindy Thomas between 2007 between 2007 and the year 2008. She also portrayed Happy Valley in the 2012 NBC Pilot, which didn't get taken on.
