Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round of all fights. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia dominated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous vote, leaving the mark of a loss on Aspen's records for amateur. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 after signing to Invicta FC. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by first-round TKO. She won her next fight against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock out McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen dominated Hoy and finished her off in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round at the end of the second. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya fell by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7 at ESPN. For a replacement last minute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She was beaten by a majority vote.
