The babies were in the crib while I was strapped to a baby on my back. Ha! Ha! It all started to seem logical, however it was far from finished. For this project, I was prepared to shell out a substantial amount of time and money searching for the perfect home. To stay on budget I started going to estate sales along with my three boys searching for jewels in the rough. We had a weekly schedule which consisted of spending the week from Friday through Saturday at estate and garage sales, shopping for new and used items. I spent the rest of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. My passion for restoration of furniture began with a look similar to this. When our house was decorated, I couldn't quit! There was a market in the area to let me sell my pieces. There were numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and my storage space was a mess. In my own home, I started hosting open houses where more than 1000 guests could visit and buy any item they wanted from the first floor in just one weekend. Growing Days is the result from this. The business I was running was growing however my family was also growing. It was essential to find the right balance to me. I wanted to balance being a mother and also a successful business owner. Growing Days fit perfectly. My beautiful Nora arrived in the year 2013, our fourth child. My business was going well but I wanted a rest. I decided to slow down and stay at home, with my kids. It was exactly the thing I needed. It was only after several months when the phones began to be ringing. They were asking for assistance with interior decorating and renovations. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who attended one of my furniture open houses. As I went along, I added customers to my client list one by one. But it wasn't long before I managed multiple clients and ran an extremely successful business of home renovation. When you first spoke to me about my home renovation business, I laughed. It's hilarious to look back on the idea.
