My baby crawled around in the playpen as I was working 12-hour shifts in sanding floors and removing wallpaper. Ha! We were getting closer to finishing, but we were a long distance to go. It would take money, effort, as well as my personal favorite to furnish this house. To stay on budget I began going to estate sales along with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. The number of people who visited my home over the course of a weekend, to shop for everything that was on the ground. Growing Days is the result of this. My business was not only thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. I was balancing the demands between what it took starting a business and be a mommy too. Growing Days fit perfectly. My beautiful Nora was born in 2013, our 4th child. The direction of my business was fantastic, but I needed to get some down time. I made the decision to take a break and spend some time at home, spending time with my family. The time was right. In the course of a few months, the phone began to ring. The people who called me were seeking help for decorating their homes and interior improvements. Many of the people calling me were from those who attended one of the furniture open houses. I started taking on some clients at a time working at my own pace but it wasn't too for long to have multiple accounts and was running an entire home improvement business. When you first told me about my business in home renovation, I laughed. When I look back, it makes me giggle.
